SKI BENEATH THE 4,000-METRE GIANTS
Saas Fee sits on and around the huge Fee Glacier, ringed by the Allalinhorn, Alphubel, and Dom — even the lift rides are memorable, gliding over cascading blue ice. It's one of the most spectacular ski settings anywhere in the world.
A short shuttle away, Saas Grund and Saas Almagell open up views across the valley to a wall of fourteen peaks over 4,000 metres. Snowhawks booked almost every room at the boutique Hotel Dom, making this a true group takeover of a quaint hotel in a classic, car-free Swiss village.
Beyond the skiing, a full cultural and culinary add-ons include a wine cellar visit and tasting, a guided tour of the town of Brig and Stockalper Castle, and a 3-course lunch — plus a torchlit hike up to Waldhus Bodmen for dinner at a mountainside farmer's cabin.
